In the spring of 2019, a bull named Alcatraz was on the radar of most in the Angus business. He was one of the outstanding prospects available. We pursued the idea of purchasing him from Hamilton Farms, so we teamed up with the Kornfeld's, from Val Marie, Saskatchewan, as well as the "Guards of Alcatraz" group. We were successful and purchased 1/2 interest for $200,000, which was a Canadian record at that time. He instantly became the talk of the Angus breed in Canada.

He is sound with a big foot, athletic, powerful body type, great hair, and pleasant, docile temperament. His progeny are born easy - heifer friendly, grow fast, and weigh up at weaning. The Alcatraz sons are masculine with a fertile look and excellent scrotal development. His daughters are broody, feminine females with rich milk and ideal udder quality. We couldn't be happier with the contribution he has had to our program and look forward to breeders success around the world who have purchased semen.
